Clothes can go straight into boxes

Unlike some other belongings, clothes don't need special wardrobe boxes - a standard rental box works perfectly well. Folded clothes take up less space and stay more stable in transit than hanging garments.

Folded vs. hung clothes

• Everyday clothes (t-shirts, trousers, underwear) - fold and load directly into the box;
• Suits and formal wear - leave on hangers where possible and move separately to avoid creasing;
• Seasonal clothes you won't need soon - pack more densely, since instant access isn't a priority.

Sort by category

We recommend sorting clothes by category (everyday, seasonal, footwear) and using a separate box or section of a box for each category - this speeds up unpacking in your new home considerably.

Footwear

We recommend packing shoes separately from clothes, ideally in bags, so they don't mark other belongings. Put heavier shoes at the bottom of the box.

Fragile or valuable accessories

Move jewelry, watches, and other small valuables separately, rather than together with the rest of your clothes in boxes.

Labeling

Label boxes by specific category ("Winter clothes," "Shirts," "Shoes") - this will make unpacking much easier and let you quickly find what you need on the first day in your new home.
